We partnered with an up and coming vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, Pavo Real Vineyard, to create this rich, intense expression of Pinot Noir. Clones 667 & 777 were selected for their characteristics of deep color and higher tannin profile. The grapes were destemmed, but not crushed, fermented cool then pressed to barrel where the wine was cellared for 11 months in 50% new french oak. This wine was crafted with minimal invervention to preserve the character of the fruit, growing site, and place in time- Enjoy!
